WC 9th/16th/23rd Sept - Communication and Interaction
As part of our sensory curriculum, to support our learners, we follow a AAC speech & literacy programme which involves a core word of the week. While spoken language has at least 250,000 words, a list of only 200 words accounts for about 80% of the words we use every day! These words can be referred to as 'core words'. So far, we have been learning: 1. 'I want' 2. 'Like/Don't like' / 'not' 3. 'Help'
